Question  What are shortcut keys?

If you are not sure what a shortcut key is, the screenshot below shows an example of a properties of a shortcut.
Shortcut

This is a shortcut to Word 2003 and you can see the RED circle showing you there is a shortcut key of CTRL-ALT-W. Pressing this key combination will load Word 2003, as if you clicked on the shortcut to open it.

Shortcut keys allow you to quickly launch an application without having to locate the icon on the start menu or desktop. Below is an example:
